Scott was born and reared in North Alabama. He married the former Tammy Tate of Robstown, Texas.  He has five children. Anthony, 26 married to the former Jennifer Hampton and lives in Chatsworth, GA. Trulie, 21 married to Daniel Redmill and lives in Calhoun, Ga.  Montana, 19, Joshua, 18 and Marcus, 15, live at home with their parents.  Scott attended Freed-Hardeman University, Henderson, TN and International Bible College, Florence, AL  Where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He also received a Bachelor of Science degree from Abilene Christian University.  Later he earned a Masters of Ministry degree from Heritage Christian University. His terminal degree is a Doctor of Religious Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary.

 His ministry has been in local work over the past 26 years for churches in Alabama, Texas, Tennessee and Georgia.  He has held many gospel meetings, preached at lectureships and youth rallies.

 He and his wife Tammy, have been married for 28 years and for the last 20 years they have been involved with foster care’s group home settings.  Aside from the number of children they have cared for in their own home, they have worked for Sunny Glen, Children’s Home in San Benito, Texas and Happy Heaven Children’s home in Cookeville, Tennessee.  At Sunny Glen Scott was VP of Operations.  His duties consisted of hiring, placement, training and oversight of direct care staff, including house parents, case managers, counselors and educational staff.  He developed policy, negotiated contracts with placing parties and visited with them in order to improve the family dynamics.  He also was involved in the spiritual training of all employees of the campus.  He is a licensed childcare administrated in the state of Texas.  At Happy Haven he was the President/CEO and overseen the entire operation.  For the last five years He has been the pulpit minister here in Calhoun, Georgia.

 Tammy is known for her work with young people and women.  She has also been very active in the community with local daycare facilities and other work with children. She is presently the Executive Director of the Northwest Georgia Christian Academy’s Early Learning Center and has 20 years of experience in the childcare field.
